Welcome To Oasis Cottage
A five-acre country garden in Oxford, North Canterbury, created and cared for by Steph and Laurie.
Set around an 1898 cottage, the garden blends formal, English-inspired structure with more relaxed planting as it extends into the wider property.
Recognised as a 3-Star (Notable) garden by the New Zealand Gardens Trust, Oasis Cottage is still very much a garden in the making. We open on selected days from October to March, and also welcome private garden visits by arrangement.
Twenty Years in the Making
Oasis Cottage has been twenty years in the making — and is still very much a work in progress. Steph and Laurie have created the five-acre garden around their cottage, designing, building and maintaining it themselves.
Flowers from the Garden
Seasonal flowers, grown at Oasis Cottage and arranged in Atelier Florale.
Our hand-tied bouquets follow what is flowering in the garden, so each one is naturally a little different. Flowers are cut at their best and individually arranged here in the studio for collection or local delivery around Oxford.
Small Garden Weddings
Oasis Cottage offers a beautiful garden setting for small weddings and celebrations of up to 40 guests. Ceremonies take place amongst the gardens, with time afterwards for photographs and drinks in the grounds.
